STORAGE & HAULING
We have inside and outdoor storage. We store floats as well as boats. We will take care of complete winterization and commissioning including shrink wrap, winterizing engines, generators, plumbing and battery storage. Ask about special rates for commercial boat owners.

MOORINGS & FLOATS

Long Point Marine is authorized by the Town of Duxbury’s Harbormaster Department to service moorings on Duxbury Bay. We inspect our moorings every season with the help of our custom barge, which is rigged to haul any size mooring. Caring owners entrust Long Point Marine to keep their boats safe in the harbor.  We construct top-quality, custom floating docks for municipalities, yacht clubs and homeowners.

OUR STORY

In 1967, Dwight Smith founded Long Point Marine, carrying forward the tradition of the boatyard formerly known as Duxbury Boat Yard — the yard that built Ted Kennedy’s Concordia schooner Mya. Since then, we’ve maintained and repaired some of the finest power and sailboats in New England. Long Point Marine remains locally owned and operated, continuing a long tradition of craftsmanship, community, and service to our neighbors, yacht clubs, and businesses in and around Duxbury.

ABOUT OUR LOGO

Our logo depicts Azalea, our former work boat. She began her career with the U.S. Lighthouse Service in 1937 and became a Coast Guard buoy tender in 1939, when the Coast Guard absorbed the Lighthouse Service. Azalea set and inspected every one of our moorings as recently as 2024, and was donated to the Long Island Maritime Museum in 2025. Her long service — to the Coast Guard, to mariners, and to her community — mirrors the spirit of service at Long Point Marine.
